Welcome!

The Miss Whittier Scholarship Pageant was created by longtime Whittier resident, Teta Smart. Teta is a former model, dancer, and business owner who served as the Whittier Rose Queen in 1947 and also represented Whittier in the Pasadena Rose Parade. She realized years later what an impact this was in her life and decided that every girl should have the opportunity to participate in a pageant - which lead to the inception of the Miss Whittier Scholarship Pageant in 1983. For over 30 years, nearly one thousand girls have been offered instruction in poise, confidence. interview techniques, and dance. Will this be your year?
